Summer 2018 and Short Hair Cuts

Summer 2018 and Short Hair Cuts

Summer is right around the corner and for some of us, that means dry heat, humidity and more! While most of us will just opt to put our hair up in a bun, it seems short haircuts are all the rage in Hollywood right now!

A few months back, Kate Hudson began to grow back her buzzed hair into an adorably sweet and posh pixie cut and Hollywood took notice. Soon google even began buzzing with terms such as Short Haircuts 2018, Kate Hudson Pixie Cut, etc! And, while not everybody is opting for that short of a cut, we have seen a huge increase in celebrities cutting their long locks off, opting for a much fresher summer look!

When you think about it, a lot of famous women in the past rocked short haircuts! Audrey Hepburn, Twiggy, Kate Moss, Barbra Streisand, Charlize Theron and more! Something about that sleek short do and showing off a beautiful décolletage just screams “GLAM.”

It doesn't matter if you have short or thin hair, a round or narrow face, a short haircut can totally work for you!  It is all about finding the right cut, one that helps contour the face and amplifies the beauty of your natural hair. We offer a few tips below on finding the perfect cut for you!

Cutting thin hair should be done in straight cuts, without thinning of the tips in order to keep the hair density. Structured haircuts with lots of layers are perfect. In addition to volume, they also make your hair vibrant and easy to manage. A good haircut in a short length is a bob, pixie or a boy cut – their round silhouettes are ideal for fine hair. Any type of bang will work with these cuts.

If you are gifted by nature with thick hair, you are the envy of so many women worldwide. You have never had to deal with the issue of limp hair or the lack of volume in hairstyles. Being clean and groomed, thick locks are the natural jewel that doesn’t need any sophisticated rim in terms of fancy hairstyles. At the same time, thick hair in longer lengths may feel heavy. In this case a short haircut is an excellent solution. Short cuts often look much sharper than longer styles. And if you’ve mastered how to style your short haircut, you are the lucky one, who’ll always have an enviously perfect effortless look. Layers are key for short to medium styles. You don’t have to remove volume. The look just needs an overall appealing shape.

Now take these tips and head to your stylist for a fierce summer!
