Charity focus for unity: All about HLV charities
In September, we’re turning our focus toward unity and acknowledging how important it is to come together as a community. Never before has it been so apparent that we’re stronger together and how much our lives can depend on others.
At Hair La Vie, we’re dedicated to supporting causes that are important to us and to our community. Throughout the year, approximately 10% of our profits go directly to the following charities.
For a century, Save the Children has been helping children by providing opportunities for them to have a healthy start in life, opening up learning opportunities, and protecting them from harm. They respond when a crisis strikes and do what they can to save children.
The Global Fund for Women fights gender injustice and strives to help create a world of equity and equality for all. Founded in 1987, this organization believes that women’s human rights are essential to social, economic, and political change in the world and that this has the power to benefit the world.
HEIFER International has a simple, yet powerful mission–everyone deserves a life free from hunger and poverty. Sadly, that is not the case as they report that nearly one billion people go to bed hungry every night. It’s their goal to help provide people with nutritious food, clean water, an education, access to healthcare, and a safe and secure environment.
Kiva has a different approach to their vision of a financially inclusive world where all people hold power to improve their lives. Founded in 2005, Kiva uses crowdfunding loans to help people who don’t have the financial access they need to thrive. Kiva helps people pay off student loans, start businesses, invest in equipment, and pay for emergency care.
Just by buying Hair La Vie products, you know that a portion of that sale goes to these charities to help make a difference in your local and global community. You’re already a part of our unity movement and helping those in need. But, of course, you can do more.
Contributing directly to the above causes is a great way to effect change, and you don’t have to select the charities we support. A little research may help you find a charity that you not only want to contribute to financially, but one that that you want to be a part of to personally experience the joy and meaningfulness of being involved in.

The focus for September is Unity, at least it is for us here at Hair La Vie. This is because we believe being united is extremely important. It gives us the strength to do more, make a more significant change, and feel a connectedness that’s important.
One way you can incorporate unity into your lives is by finding charitable groups that support a cause you feel passionate about. Hair La Vie has four key groups that we support by contributing about 10% of our profits. You can help by financially contributing or by giving your time and talents to your favorite organizations.
You can also make unity a driving force in your life by joining the Hair La Vie community and getting and giving support to like-minded people who also want to have a healthier, more beautiful life through natural methods and products.
